Philadelphia Zoo – Commercial and Radio Spots

The first zoo in America – The Philadelphia Zoo - opened its gates on July 1, 1874 to more than 3000 visitors who came on foot, in streetcars, by horse and carriage, and steamboat. Two hundred and thirty years later, they opened their gates to Point Global Films, who came with trucks carrying camera, sound and lighting equipment. Shooting over the course of 3 days with a 7-person and 1,300-animal cast, the Point Global crew produced a highly successful commercial – along with an original soundtrack - that continued to air for two years and helped increase the zoo's attendance to the 1.1 million visitors it gets today. After the great success of the TV spot, Point Global was asked to create a regional radio spot, which tested in the top 10% of radio ads for two years in a row.
